Heartscarved - Epilogue ' 2002

Original release information from 2002:

“Epilogue” contains the final recordings of one of North Carolina’s most underrated melodic hardcore bands. HEARTSCARVED were by far one of the best bands in the area, and these three final tracks will prove that. If you are unfamiliar with HEARTSCARVED’s debut MCD, “And Tomorrow We Escape” here is what some critics had to say about it:

• “With an abundant amount of music coming out of North Carolina (some good, some bad and some ugly), Heartscarved are definitely an act worth checking out.” - Digitalmetal
• “Think melody, breakdowns and hooks. One of the few bands to play this style of music and deliver a solid, catchy hook.” - Sharpshooteronline
• “Heartscarved has what it takes to make them my favorite band.” - Oddshaped

All the same key elements from the debut are there, undeniably catchy melodies, crushing breakdowns and hair-raising screams of Kevin Trent (vocalist) and Eric Wheeling (guitarist.) With HEARTSCARVED’s break-up coming so sudden, almost prematurely, this left many fans saddened upon hearing the news, “Epilogue” will allow them to rejoice and enjoy the final creations of such a magnificent band. HEARTSCARVED were not unlike God Forbid, In Flames and Pantera.
